The James Bond Series, like James Bond himself, will never die. And as long as it lives on, there will always be a "bond car".  In the 17th film of the series, that "bond car" was the BMW Z3. The Z3 was BMW's first mass-produced mass market roadster, and was the first new BMW model to be manufactured in the United States.

*History Blurb*
BMW was originally established as an aircraft manufacturing firm in 1917. After the end of WWI in 1918, BMW was forced tocease aircraft-engine production. The company consequently shifted to motorcycle production in 1923,followed by automobiles in 1928–29
