Famous Car Friday

This 1963 Volkswagen Beetle has a mind of his own. He's capable of driving himself, winning races and giving lots of love. Who is it??

Herbie. The Love Bug!

"The Love Bug" is a 1968 American Comedy Film, and the first in a series of films, made by Walt Disney Productions that starred a white, 1963 Volkswagen racing Beetle named Herbie.

The Volkswagen was designed in 1938 by Ferdinand Porsche. And it is one of the first rear-engined cars since theBrass Era. The Beetle is the longest-running and most manufactured car of a single platform ever made.

In 1997 Volkswagen rebranded and redesign the Beetle and created the "New Beetle". It draws heavy inspiration from the design of the original Beetle. But unlike the original, the New Beetle has it's engine in the front, driving on the front wheels, with storage in the rear. This version was only produced until 2011 when they again rebranded and redesigned.
If you are in the market for a "Love Bug" we have this adorable light green 2007 Volkswagen "New Beetle" available here at Southern Auto Liquidators. Click on the link below to check it out!!
